On Wednesday, the NHL released the full schedule for the 2025-26 season. Opening Night of the season is Tuesday, October 7th, but the Vegas Golden Knights will kick off their ninth season the next day, Wednesday, October 8th, at T-Mobile Arena against the Los Angeles Kings.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Kings, scheduled to host the Colorado Avalanche on Opening Night, will be on the second half of a back-to-back.
The Golden Knights will play 12 back-to-backs this season, the first of which will be the first two games of the season. Immediately after opening at home against the Kings, they’ll head to San Jose to play the Sharks. They play no back-to-backs in April, but three and ½ in January.
The Golden Knights’ longest homestand is a six-game stretch from October 31st to November 13th. They’re scheduled for two separate five-game road trips, one in December and one in February, bleeding into March. The first, a nine-day gauntlet against the Metropolitan Division, runs from December 5th through the 13th. The second, featuring a grueling cross-country trip from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., runs from February 25th to March 4th.
Fans looking forward to watching Mitch Marner play his former team will have to wait. The Golden Knights first play the Toronto Maple Leafs at home on Thursday, January 15th. Then, they play the Leafs at Scotiabank Arena on Friday, January 23rd.
The Golden Knights will have 19 days off for the All-Star Break. After hosting the Los Angeles Kings on February 5th, they don’t play again until February 25th… also against the Kings.
The Golden Knights end their season with a two-game homestand. They’ll host the Winnipeg Jets on Monday, April 13th, then end their season at home on Wednesday, April 15th, against the Seattle Kraken.
