The penultimate week of the annual high school ice hockey summer league continued on Wednesday with three more games taking place at Kennedy Arena in Trenton.
Among the local teams in action were the squads from Grosse Ile and Brownstown Woodhaven, each of whom had considerably different campaigns a year ago. The former on Wednesday did battle with Gibraltar Carlson, while the latter opposed Dearborn Divine Child.
Grosse Ile comes into the summer, under different leadership with new head coach Scott Sebastian, preparing for the upcoming school year after finishing last season with a 20-5 mark overall. Woodhaven meanwhile is looking to improve on what was just a four-win season under Pat Jesue, who is in year two at the helm.
