As the NHL revealed the league-wide season schedule on July 16, the Nashville Predators posted a schedule release video featuring local celebrities and country music stars Lainey Wilson, Old Dominion and Dustin Lynch.
The video also features radio and music personality Bobby Bones, local weather gurus Nashville Severe Weather, as well as familiar Predators icons like broadcaster Chris Mason, in-arena announcer Wayne D, and Gnash.
In the video, game dates and opponents from the 2025-26 schedule are announced in brief skits featuring the celebrities.
Wilson, who won Entertainer of the Year in 2023 from the Country Music Association, reveals the first home games against the Dallas Stars (Oct. 26) and St. Louis Blues (Dec. 11). In the skit, she competes in a dueling piano battle against a Blues fan at Bayou Keys in Nashville.
Old Dominion, a Nashville-based country music band, announced the home opener against Columbus (Oct. 9) by preparing to strap catfish to their bodies at Odie’s Bar in Nashville.
Lynch, a country music singer from Tullahoma, Tennessee, announced the first home game against the NHL’s newest team, the Utah Mammoth. In the skit, Lynch is reading about prehistoric creatures at Rippy’s in Nashville.
Many Nashville residents will also recognize the helpful folks at Nashville Severe Weather, who announced the “severe weather” themed opponents: the Tampa Bay Lightning (Oct. 28), the Colorado Avalanche (Nov. 22) and the Carolina Hurricanes (Dec. 12).
The full video is posted to the team’s YouTube account and clips have been posted to their X, Instagram, and Facebook accounts.
