The month of July got off to a strong start for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens with the acquisition of forward Zachary Bolduc.Did the Blues Offer Jordan Kyrou to the Montreal Canadiens Instead of Zachary Bolduc? While comparing Jordan Kyrou to Patrik Laine, McCagg stated that he’s certain it was the Montreal Canadiens who demanded Zachary Bolduc, while the St. Louis Blues were actually offering Kyrou.
In other words, the Blues were more inclined to trade Jordan Kyrou than Zachary Bolduc.
That’s quite a twist from what we’ve been hearing since the trade was announced, but at the same time, it makes so much sense.
Kyrou seems to be stagnating, whereas Bolduc is clearly on the rise.
Kyrou is 27 years old, while Bolduc is just 22, and more importantly, the Quebec native is a much more complete and physical player than his former Blues teammate.
In any case, it’s definitely an interesting rumor and really makes you think.
If I had the choice today, would I take Jordan Kyrou or Zachary Bolduc first for my team? What about you?
And the fact that Bolduc is from Quebec is a nice little bonus in this deal.
