LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Vegas Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy will join the staff for Team Canada at the Winter Olympics next year.
Hockey Canada announced Monday that Cassidy will be one of four assistant coaches for the country’s men’s Olympic team.
Also joining the coaching staff is Pete DeBoer, whom Cassidy succeeded as Golden Knights coach in 2022.
Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper was already named as Canada’s head coach last year.
Cassidy previously served as an assistant for Canada in the 4Nations Face-Off earlier this year. Next year’s games will mark his first time appearing in the Olympics.
He becomes the second member of the Golden Knights organization set to take part in the 2026 Milano Cortina Games.
Forward Jack Eichel has already been tapped for Team USA’s preliminary roster.
