Bruce Cassidy is going to the 2026 Olympics.
The Vegas Golden Knights coach was named as one of Team Canada’s assistant coach on Monday, Hockey Canada announced. Peter DeBoer, Misha Donskov and Rick Tocchet were also named assistants. They join Jon Cooper, who was named coach.

Cassidy, an Ottawa native, was an assistant for Canada during the NHL 4 Nations Face-Off where he helped lead the team to victory in the championship game over Team USA in overtime.
The 2026 Olympic Winter Games will be Cassidy’s first time appearing in the event.
Cassidy is the second member of the Golden Knights to be named to the Olympics. Forward Jack Eichel was among the first six players for Team USA’s preliminary roster.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics begin Feb. 6 and run through Feb 22.
