The team announced Thursday that the two sides have agreed to a one-year, two-way contract which sees Boderleau earn $775,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 in the AHL, with $125,000 guaranteed.

The 23-year-old restricted free agent was acquired in a trade with the San Jose Sharks in exchange for forward Shane Bowers on July 2.

Drafted 38th overall by the Sharks in 2020, Borderleau has played in 44 career NHL games with the organization, recording six goals and 12 assists.

Across 161 career games with the Sharks’ AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda, he has totalled 107 points (47 goals and 60 assists).
