The major trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Islanders, which notably involved Noah Dobson, continues to stir discussion around the NHL.

Why are we bringing it up again today?

Because Islanders assistant general manager Matt Martin recently gave a very interesting interview.

Listening to him talk, you seriously get the feeling the Islanders already regret trading Noah Dobson.

Do the Islanders Already Regret Trading Noah Dobson to the Montreal Canadiens?

I’m not sure if it’s full-on regret just yet, but one thing’s clear-Martin outright admitted that “the New York Islanders would still like to have Dobson on their team.”

I really wonder what went down in this situation, but one thing’s for sure-Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens aren’t the ones complaining.

Noah Dobson, 25 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound right-shot defenseman who was selected 12th overall by the New York Islanders in 2018 (1st round).

Personally, I really believe the Islanders landed three excellent young players thanks to this trade-but it’s clear that losing a player like Noah Dobson hurts any lineup.
