COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated forward Cole Sillinger from Injured Reserve, announced Don Waddell, the club’s President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.

Sillinger, 21, had been sidelined for the past 11 games due to an upper-body injury sustained in a game against Detroit on February 27.

This season, Sillinger has recorded nine goals and 20 assists, totaling 29 points. He has averaged 17 minutes and 18 seconds of ice time across 54 appearances with the Blue Jackets in the 2024-25 season. Since making his NHL debut in the 2021-22 season, the 6-foot-1, 202-pound center has accumulated 41 goals, 62 assists, and 103 points in 274 career games.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Sillinger was selected by the Blue Jackets in the first round, 12th overall, at the 2021 NHL Draft.

The Blue Jackets are set to face the Vancouver Canucks Friday night at Nationwide Arena, with the game starting at 7 p.m. ET. The Jackets are 2 points behind the Montreal Canadiens for the final wild-card spot in the NHL playoffs and have played one less game.
