The Vancouver Canucks were recently given some surprising odds when it comes to the National Hockey League’s Pacific Division title for the 2025-26 season.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin has been one of the more busier executive’s around the National Hockey League this summer, with two of his more notable moves seeing him acquire Evander Kane from the Edmonton Oilers, while re-signing Brock Boeser to a long-term deal. The team is hoping that their strong offseason will translate to a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs next April after missing out during an inconsistent and drama-filled 2024-25 campaign.Earlier this summer, Vancouver was given the 18th-best odds to win the Stanley Cup next June and on Sunday, new data was released regarding their chances of taking home the Pacific Division title for the second time in the last three years.
Vancouver Canucks given surprising 2025-26 Pacific Division odds
In a recent post on social media, PlayNow Sports shared their odds for the 2025-26 Pacific Division title and at the top, there isn’t really much of a surprise, with the Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights coming in at first and second, respectively, with +150 and +160.
Another team with not-so-surprising odds is the San Jose Sharks, who made some nice additions in the offseason so far and will see some progression from their young stars like Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith, but will more than likely end up in eighth again, as they were at +250000.According to PlayNow Sports, the Vancouver Canucks have the fourth-best odds at winning the Pacific Division at +1200 and despite some questionable moves, such as the signings of Cody Ceci and Brian Dumoulin, the Los Angeles Kings in third place are well ahead of Adam Foote’s group.”In 2023/24, the Vancouver #Canucks won the Pacific Division with 109 points. 🏒
Last season, they missed the playoffs. Do the Canucks have a shot at winning the Pacific in 2025/26 at +1200 odds (7.69% implied probability)? 🤔” PlayNow Sports said.
Only time will tell how the Vancouver Canucks are able to perform during the 2025-26 season and how the group will gel together, but it wouldn’t be a shock, at least to us, if they were to find a way into a top-three division spot by the end of the year and be ahead of the Los Angeles Kings.
