The Colorado Avalanche will receive a significant boost for their Game 3 meeting with the Dallas Stars.
After a nearly three-year-long absence, Gabriel Landeskog is returning to the ice for the Avalanche. Landeskog, Colorado’s captain, last played in June 2022.
Colorado notably activated Landeskog off injured reserve ahead of Monday night’s Game 1 at American Airlines Center. Landeskog was sidelined for the lengthy stretch by a chronic right knee injury. According to The Associated Press, Landeskog went through a two-game conditioning stint with the AHL’s Colorado Eagles.

Landeskog was Colorado’s first player out for warmups before Game 2’s puck drop, but was designated as a healthy scratch before the game.

Landeskog has appeared in 69 career playoff games, recording 67 points (27 goals, 40 assists). His return provides an extra boost for an already strong Colorado squad.
