LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Vegas Golden Knights’ cherished canine companion, known as the VGK Pup, is preparing to bid farewell to the city.
In a heartfelt message on social media, Maverick announced that his final day on the job will be Tuesday, January 21 before heading to New York for official training with America’s VetDogs.

America’s VetDogs is a nonprofit organization that provides veterans and first responders with service dogs at no cost.
Back in January 2024, theteam announced that they would help raise a future service dog, with fans able to help name him.
He would later go on to make his debut with the team later that month during a game against the New York Rangers.
The Golden Knights will return home on Monday, January 20 when they play the St. Louis Blues at T-Mobile Arena.
Puck drop is slated for 3 p.m.
