Westbrook native Carter Amico drafted by Flyers, joining Boston University in the fall

Another Mainer is going pro just three days since Cooper Flagg was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA.

A Westbrook native was picked in the NHL draft.

Carter Amico was selected 38th overall in the second round by the Philadelphia Flyers.

Amico will be heading to play at Boston University in the fall.

He is a defenseman who can fly with the puck.
