While Hailey was busy with the Met Gala flashes, Justin was in his comfy sweats, rejoicing in the fact that the Toronto Maple Leafs won 4-5. “1 down,” he wrote in a follow-up video reacting to the game’s result. (Don’t worry, though, Hailey was actually all alone at the Met Gala 2025 — in fact, the star entered the red carpet and spent most of the night with bestie Kendall Jenner in tow.)

Seeing as the two events were happening very much concurrently, fans couldn’t help but comment on the fact, and the general consensus seems to be all positive. “Tell me you’re Canadian without telling me: skip the Met to watch Hockey?!” someone commented on Justin’s first post. “I love it, his wife and baby mama is at [the] Met Gala doing her thing and daddy is at home watching sports; so authentic and real,” another one said in his second post.

If you know Justin Bieber, you know he doesn’t play when it comes to hockey. The superstar is a massive fan and has even played in a handful of NHL All-Star Games as well as charity games, most recently in February to support victims of the LA wildfires. The Biebers also enjoy hockey together and have been seen on sports date nights in the past.
