The 2025-2026 NHL schedule has been released, and the San Jose Sharks open their season against the Vegas Golden Knights on Oct. 9.
The Sharks will also have a giveaway that night of the iconic Tyler Toffoli, Macklin Celebrini, and Will Smith sleepover incident.
Notably, the 2026 Winter Olympics will take place from February 11 to 26, and no NHL games will be played during this time. Following the Olympics, the Sharks will have a six-game homestand from Feb. 26 through March 7.
Another interesting fact about the San Jose Sharks’ 25-26 schedule is the change in the majority of home game start times. In years past, most home games at SAP Center would begin at 7:30 p.m.

Of course, there are the occasional afternoon games or 7 p.m. games. This season, only two games at SAP Center will be played at 7:30 p.m. or later.
Oct. 28 vs LA 8 p.m.
Apr. 8 vs EDM 7:30 p.m.
The Sharks’ longest road trip will be five games long. Over the course of the year, San Jose will have three five-game trips. One from Dec. 5-15, Jan. 27 through Feb. 4, and from March 10-17.
