I’m told Brooks Cullen has de-committed from Michigan State as well. The expectation is that Brooks will end up at Minnesota along with Wyatt. https://t.co/X0uxbqnNJt

While Michigan State hockey went on an insane run of recruiting over the past week, it has suffered its first recruiting blow in quite some time.
Brooks Cullen has decommitted from the Spartans’ 2026 class. There is an expectation he will follow his younger brother, Wyatt, to Minnesota. The son of longtime NHL veteran Matt Cullen, Brooks is a native of Moorhead, Minnesota, so the move back to his hometown school makes sense.
For now, Cullen is expected to spend a second season in the USHL with the Fargo Force, with whom he played 10 games last season, netting two points.
The expectation was that Cullen was going to join the Spartans roster in 2026-27, but the Spartans have had a lot of success for what the roster will look like next season, and should be able to mitigate this loss.
