The 2026 Olympics are going to be fun to watch with NHL players back in the mix. With everyone getting a taste of international hockey with the 4 Nations Faceoff last season, the stakes are going to be even higher at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics starting on Feb. 6.

Kyle Cushman and Josh Wegman from The Score projected who they felt Team Canada was going to bring across the pond, and also who will likely be on their radar as the NHL season kicks off in a couple of months.

Stone seems like someone who could slide off the radar, based on his injury concerns and the fact that Seth Jarvis is pushing for that type of role on the team. Cushman and Wegman also mentioned Connor Bedard, Macklin Celebrini, and Travis Konecny as three forwards to keep an eye on.

The defense seems solid and is likely going to look a lot like this projection. Bouchard could make the team based on power-play specialist, however, with Cale Makar already a lock, he’ll have his work cut out for him to make the team, and receive significant playing time.

Binnington is the front runner to start as he’s shown he can win big games. Blackwood was named the wildcard and expect to see Washington Capitals netminder Logan Thompson push for a spot if he has a strong start to next season.
