McAvoy has already been named to the USA’s Olympic roster, as one of the first six players selected. Meanwhile, Swayman will be in the mix to be one of three goalies to earn a spot on the team.

Both players were on the Team USA during the 4 Nations Face-Off.

McAvoy played in the first two games of the tournament before sustaining a Grade-5 AC joint separation, which quickly developed an infection that required surgery and eventually ended his season altogether.
