The general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, who is usually fairly neutral in his comments, had a lot to say about Ivan Demidov.

He especially had much to say about the young Demidov’s work ethic, even adding that he is currently trying to get him out of the arena.

Hughes believes that Demidov also needs to take time to rest, and that sometimes he must spend time away from the arena.

That reminds us of what Kent Hughes had said about a certain Lane Hutson last year.”His work ethic is unparalleled. ..He’s been in Montreal, skating, working out and skating again, twice a day, five days a week. I’m trying to get him off the ice.”

Ivan Demidov was back on the ice again today

Clearly, Kent Hughes’ attempts to give Demidov a break and keep him away from the CN Sports Complex in Brossard are failing.

I can’t wait to see Lane Hutson and Ivan Demidov work magic together over the coming months, and I can’t wait to see them constantly on the ice together in Brossard, fine-tuning their “game.”
