A shocking move sends a key Penn State player elsewhere for the 2025 season.
Forward Andrew Kuzma has inked a contract with the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL, the team announced on X on Monday.
One Kuzma just wasn’t enough. We’ve signed our 2021 8th round draft pick Andrew Kuzma to a Standard Player Agreement.Welcome to the Fronts Family, Andrew! ⚫️🟡📰 | https://t.co/oRiqTwGkhu pic.twitter.com/X3zilxyOZx

Kuzma missed the entirety of the 2024-25 season after undergoing open-heart surgery on Nov. 22, 2024. He was seen skating in a red non-contact jersey during the Allentown Regionals of the NCAA Tournament in March, but showed no indication of playing elsewhere in 2025.
The signing is likely to help Kuzma ramp up from his surgery, as going directly into action at the NCAA level is risky with how intense Kuzma’s condition was.
