We’ve just learned that young defenseman David Reinbacher is about to head to Washington for the NHLPA Rookie Showcase.

He has been chosen by the Montreal Canadiens to represent the organization in Washington at this annual event.

We’re certainly happy for Reinbacher, who will indeed be a solid and proud representative for the Canadiens, but what about young Demidov?

When you see the names included, you really have to wonder how Demidov could have been left out.

Special mention also goes to the Quebec-born players Jordan Dumais (CBJ) and Frédéric Brunet (BOS).

David Reinbacher, age 20, is a right-shot defenseman standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 207 pounds. He was drafted 5th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 2023 (1st round).

He collected 5 points in 10 games with the Laval Rocket last season in the AHL and will now aim to earn a spot in the NHL this year in Montreal.
