With 82 games still remaining to be played in the 2025-26 NHL season, before the playoffs begin for a chance to compete for a Stanley Cup, at least two Oilers’ players will have achieved victory. with the team.

Adam Henrique, currently at 993 games, is seven games away from reaching the coveted, and not frequently reached 1000 games played in the NHL.

In fact, only 480 have reached the 1000-game milestone, since 1917-18. It requires considerable dedication and commitment, and some luck to avoid sustained injuries.

Adam’s career began in New Jersey in the 2010-11 season, after being drafted 82nd-overall in 2008, 17-years in which he has played with only three teams, a testament of his ability to remain with the same club over a number of years.

He spent eight years with the New Jersey Devil, seven with Anaheim Ducks, and two so far with the Edmonton Oilers.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is also set to reach the 1000-game plateau in 2025-26. He is currently at 959 games played, all with the same team, perhaps an even more difficult feat. Ryan is 41 games away.

Ryan has been a fan-favourite for the Oilers, because of how he plays the game, with relentless and effort during every game.

When, and if, both Ryan and Adam reach the 1000-game mark, they will have been only the 3rd Edmonton Oiler to achieve such a landmark.

Kevin Lowe is the only other player to have reached 1000-games in an Oilers jersey, on January 21, 1997.

The only other Edmonton Oiler to come close was Ryan Smith, with 971 games played, but couldn’t get those last 29 games.
