OSWEGO, N.Y. — Morgan Hermanofski scored at the 9-minute, 47-second mark of the first quarter and Maddie Karp added an insurance goal in the fourth to lead Wilkes to a 2-0 college field hockey win Saturday at Oswego State.

Karp assisted on the Hermanofski goal before scoring an unassisted goal at 48:53 of the fourth quarter.

Chloe Gilroy made four saves for the Colonels.

Women’s soccer

Oswego State 3, Wilkes 1: At Oswego, N.Y., Oswego State’s Courtney Key scored two goals in the first half and Sabrina Schmitt added an insurance goal in the second half as the Colonels dropped their season opener Saturday afternoon.

Jess Shea scored in the first half for Wilkes on an assist from Elena Krajain.

Stockton University 3, King’s 0: In Galloway, N.J., Megan Morris scored two goals and Jadelyn Sayrafe added another as Richard Stockton defeated King’s on Saturday afternoon.

Morris also had an assist. King’s goalkeeper Courtney Monard made three saves.

Men’s soccer

King’s 4, Penn College 1: In Williamsport, Evan Egnatovich scored one goal and assisted on another as King’s opened the season with its second win in as many days Saturday afternoon at Penn College.

Brayden Lane, Philip Permyashkin and Anthony Ramirez also scored for the Monarchs. Ben VanValkenburg made three saves in goal for King’s.

Women’s volleyball

Wilkes 3, Rutgers-Neward 2: At the Marts Center, Mia Leon had 25 kills and five blocks, and Ally Sheridan had three aces and one assist to lead Wilkes to the victory, 23-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-15, 19-17.

Kendra Kalp had 52 assists, while Annalyse Santowasso had 22 digs.

Wilkes 3, St. Joseph (Brooklyn) 0: At the Marts Center, Sheridan had 16 digs and eight kills while Kendra Kalp had 19 assists and three aces to help the Colonels sweep Saturday at the Marts Center, 25-16, 25-23, 25-16.

Leon had 12 kills and 10 digs, while Ava Wahlers added two blocks. Charlize Leukus had 11 digs and three aces.
