The Boston Bruins missed the playoffs for the first time in nine years following the 2024-25 season.

Now, their biggest star is speaking out on last year’s struggles.

“Expectations are always the same here. You play for an Original Six, they are always high and they always will be … we won’t accept what happened last year. The team that’s going to dress in October is going to be very competitive,” All-Star right-wing David Pastrnak said following Tuesday’s Captains Practice.

Despite the Bruins’ down year, it was another brilliant season for “Pasta.”

Pastrnak finished the campaign with 43 goals and tied his career-high of 63 assists. The 29-year-old was also as durable as ever, playing in all 82 regular-season games for the third straight year.
