September has officially arrived, which means one thing: the Philadelphia Flyers play hockey this month.

Well, it being September means a lot of things, like summer being over, football being back (go birds), schools being back in full swing, and so much more. However, the return of hockey is exciting.

While the Flyers, nor any NHL team, play a regular season game in the month of September, hockey is officially back. Training camps should begin in the latter half of the month. Preseason starts for the Flyers on September 21st. Hockey is officially on the horizon.

So, with that said, what are you looking most forward to in September?

The camp battle for the final roster spot or spots will certainly be a headline. Will Alex Bump make the NHL roster? What about AHL guys like Rodrigo Abols and Jacob Gaucher? How will Karsen Dorwart and Devin Kaplan keep up? What about Jett Luchanko? Will he be able to make the roster and stick out of camp, or will he head back to the OHL for his second post-draft season?

Something else worth keeping an eye on: the Knights duo will make their Flyers organization debut. After their time with the Knights, Oliver Bonk and Denver Barkey will be joining either the Flyers or Phantoms. While the expectation is for both to spend a year in Lehigh Valley, watching them during camp will surely be fun.

Once play picks up, it will undoubtedly be fun seeing Matvei Michkov skate again.

Lastly, I am excited to get a good sense of what the Flyers’ lines and pairs are going to look like come October.

What are you most excited for?
