They have been linked for a couple decades, and now Pittsburgh Penguins core players Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang will be linked in a new way this season — in bobblehead form.

The Penguins announced Wednesday a promotion called the big three legacy bobblehead series. Those three team stars — who are entering their 20th season together, the longest such stretch for any three players in North American pro team sports history — will each have a bobblehead giveaway.

The three bobbleheads can then be interlocked to form a cohesive display, meant to be a set.

You can decide for yourself about the accuracy of the likenesses.

The Crosby bobblehead giveaway will be Dec. 13, a Saturday afternoon game against the San Jose Sharks.

The Malkin bobblehead giveaway will be Jan. 10, a Saturday afternoon game against the Calgary Flames.

And the Letang bobblehead giveaway will be March 21, a Saturday afternoon game against the Winnipeg Jets.

But get to PPG Paints Arena early those days. Only the first 7,500 fans will receive the bobbleheads at each of the three games.

The Penguins said a full promotional schedule for the 2025-26 season will be out soon.
