Officially now an ex-Montreal Canadiens goaltender, Carey Price has bid goodbye to Habs fans everywhere with a special message after the trade of his contract to the San Jose Sharks.It was a foregone conclusion that goaltender Carey Price would never play again in the NHL thanks to his lingering knee issue that has kept him off the ice since 2022, but his time with the Montreal Canadiens has now officially ended.The Canadiens traded the last year of his contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $10.5 million to the San Jose Sharks with a 5th round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Friday for prospect defenseman Gannon Laroque.
