The very reliable journalist from Columbus, Mark Scheig, has just reported that the 2026 National Hockey League draft would take place in Montreal, according to the rumor! Wow!

Everything indicates that Gavin McKenna will be drafted at the Bell Centre, which is pretty incredible.
Obviously this is major, obviously this is fantastic news, but personally I consider it would be much better news if the draft were held in person (and not in a decentralized format).
Also note that Scheig’s information matches that of David Calabretta.
