Something special is happening with the Montreal Canadiens right now.
The players have literally decided to cut short their last few weeks of vacation, and we can now say they are officially back at work (on their own initiative, no less)!
It’s something never seen before in Montreal, but for a second day in a row, everyone is there today (with the obvious exception of Nick Suzuki, who is in Las Vegas for an official NHL event).
You could have said yesterday was just an exception-but no!
Once again today, all the players are working together, live from the CN Sports Complex in Brossard.
It’s practically as if the Canadiens players decided to start training camp themselves.. but two weeks early!
In any case, the team will be more than ready when camp begins!
Another magical scene with the Montreal Canadiens live from Brossard
Eric Engels said it. Anthony Martineau said it. Marco D’Amico said it.. But this is the first time we’ve seen something like this in Montreal.
Once again this morning, we witnessed an almost complete and regular practice (a “normal” regular-season type practice in Brossard).
All that’s missing is Martin St-Louis and his staff!
Marc-Olivier Cook is on site again.
A reminder: Martin St-Louis can’t be there, due to NHL collective bargaining agreement rules that prohibit holding “official” practices before the start of NHL training camps.
More details to come, but we love seeing this!
