Many observers had criticized the lack of a tribute night for Markov in recent years, and now it will finally happen.
Andrei Markov, now 46 years old, was a 6-foot, 200-pound left-shot defenseman.
A 6th-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 1998, Markov played 990 career games in the NHL, all with the Habs.
He recorded 572 points, including 119 goals, and added 32 points in 89 playoff games.
This will be a well-deserved tribute for him!
