Carey Price Was Just Spotted in San Jose as Their Camp Is About to Begin

We have news about former Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price.
Yes, it’s strange to say “former Montreal Canadiens goaltender,” even if he obviously hasn’t played for quite some time now.
A few days after the transaction, and as the Sharks’ camp is about to begin, number 31 has indeed just been spotted in San Jose.
Carey Price flew to San Jose to undergo medical tests
That’s what has just been reported.
“While speaking to some Sharks prospects inside one of the locker rooms here at Sharks ice, I saw Carey Price walk down the hallway. Unsure as to what he’s doing here or how long he’s been here, but Price is in SJ.”
– Max Miller
A post that sparked a ton of reactions and speculation, but which can be easily explained.
Marco D’Amico later added this:
“Carey Price in San Jose for his yearly physicals (as is required of him) before being placed on IR by the Sharks.”
“You have to be present for physicals even if you’re on LTIR, per the NHL CBA.”
– Marco D’Amico
Yes, Carey Price will remain unofficially retired.
However, knowing that he is already in San Jose and that the Sharks’ camp is about to begin, I wonder if he will stay there to help the Sharks’ young goaltenders, like Yaroslav Askarov.
It’s something his new bosses could ask of him.
