QUINCY — Despite falling in an early five-point hole to start Tuesday’s game against Western Big 6 Conference rival Geneseo, the Quincy Blue Devils kicked it into high gear to stay perfect for the season and win a pivotal conference game.

The Blue Devils won in straight sets, defeating the Maple Leafs 25-22 in the first set and 25-20 in the second set.

QHS is now 3-0 within WB6 play as the season starts to heat up.

Junior Alayna Moore was awarded player of the game.

Up next for QHS (9-0) is a road game against WB6 foe Sterling (6-3) at 5 p.m. on Thursday, followed by a home game against WB6 opponent Galesburg (5-5) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
