The Dallas Stars announced that goaltender Antoine Bibeau has joined the team on a professional tryout agreement.
The 31-year-old returns to North America after two seasons in Europe, where he most recently posted a .905 save percentage and 2.60 GAA in 35 games with KooKoo of Finland’s Liiga. While he isn’t expected to make Dallas’ opening night roster, Bibeau could earn a two-way deal and start the year with AHL affiliate Texas Stars.

Originally a sixth-round pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2013, Bibeau has NHL experience with the Leafs, San Jose Sharks, and Colorado Avalanche. He owns a career 2-1-0 record and a .907 save percentage in four NHL games.
Known more as an AHL mainstay, Bibeau has spent the bulk of his career bouncing between organizations while providing steady depth. For Dallas, he’ll be insurance in case of injuries to Jake Oettinger or Casey DeSmith, while also supporting prospects like Remi Poirier.

Bibeau joins forwards Adam Erne and Cross Hanas, along with defenseman Anthony Cristoforo, as PTO additions to Dallas’ training camp roster. While Erne brings the most NHL experience among the group, Bibeau could carve out a role as organizational depth if he impresses during camp.
