The excellent Marco D’Amico has just reported some very interesting information involving Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
The Canadiens are in discussions with the Boston Bruins for the potential acquisition of 6-foot-3 left-handed center Pavel Zacha.
These are discussions that have taken place, and the dialogue remains absolutely open between Kent Hughes and his Bruins counterpart.
The Montreal Canadiens are interested in center Pavel Zacha for a trade
And when Kent Hughes gets to the point of contacting a team about a player, that means it’s serious.
“There were rumblings of multiple teams, including the Habs and Flames, having interest in Bruins forward Pavel Zacha.
Can now confirm the two sides have spoken on Zacha. Although nothing is imminent, and I stress this, he’s on the Canadiens’ radar.”

So, Pavel Zacha is in the sights of the Montreal Canadiens for a trade!
Pavel Zacha, 28 years old, is a big 6-foot-3, 206-pound left-handed center, who was the 6th overall pick of the New Jersey Devils in 2015 (6th overall) and who collected 47 and 59 points in the last two seasons with the Bruins.
What more could you ask for?
It’s exactly what the Montreal Canadiens need right now.
Also note that Zacha earns a very reasonable $4.75 million per year until 2027.
