With the second game of the Prospect Showcase on Sunday between Montreal and Toronto, here’s how to watch the game and what we can look forward to this afternoon.

Saturday kicked off the Prospect Showcase for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they took on the Ottawa Senators and although they came out with a 4-3 loss, there was a lot to be excited about regarding names like Jacob Quillan and Landon Sim; with both Easton Cowan and Ben Danford putting in solid efforts.Looking forward to Sunday, the team takes on the Montreal Canadiens, who ended up also taking a 4-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday but were led by the incredible performance of rookie phenom Ivan Demidov.

So where exactly can fans catch the heated rivalry kicking off a bit early before the regular season begins?

Where to Watch the Maple Leafs vs Canadiens Prospect Game

Much like yesterday, the Toronto Maple Leafs’ official website is going to be hosting the game online, as well as through their other social media channels. For those with television broadcasting capabilities, you may choose to watch French broadcasting network RDS to catch the action.

The game starts at 3pm ET, and you can expect that although it’s just a preseason rookie scrimmage; there will be a lot of intensity from start to finish.

What to Expect From the Maple Leafs in the Prospect Game

Well, fans are hoping for a much more offensively dominant performance from Easton Cowan, although if he puts in as hard an effort as he did yesterday then there should be no issues.

He scored an assist on Jacob Quillan’s goal and fought hard for every puck regardless of situation. Ben Danford was steady and showed exactly what he does; protect his goalie, break up chances, win board battles and just be reliable.

But what you can expect certainly is some intensity.

If yesterday was any indication, if the Montreal team wants to rile up the Maple Leafs, they will have Landon Sim and Matthew Hlacar to deal with. The latter absorbed a ton of punishment all game, meanwhile Sim was a nuisance for Ottawa all game and wasn’t afraid to scrap. We could very well see a Florian Xhekaj and Sim tilt today, and if there’s any hostility between the two clubs, look to Sim to be at the forefront.

You can also expect Toronto to have their hands full with Demidov, as if his performance last night was any indication, the future is bright and potentially very scary for Leafs fans.

But we’ll have to see how the game plays out, as both teams look to finish the two-day scrimmage strong with a win.
