The chances of seeing Sidney Crosby finish his career with the Pittsburgh Penguins suddenly seem less likely as the months go by.
The team risks having a difficult year, and Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas could take advantage of No. 87’s value to officially kickstart the team’s rebuilding process.
Anthony Marcotte names two team names for acquiring Sidney Crosby, in the event of a trade
During a recent appearance on BPM Sports, Anthony Marcotte stated that he firmly believes the Los Angeles Kings and the Colorado Avalanche are the two teams where the now 38-year-old athlete is most likely to end his career.
“If he leaves Pittsburgh, it will be for the Avalanche or the Kings.”

We know that the Avalanche would be a perfect match because of the presence of his fellow Nova Scotian, Nathan MacKinnon, but the possibility of seeing him arrive in Los Angeles might come as a bit of a surprise.
The California organization has been among the good teams in the NHL in recent seasons, but they’ve been shown the door in the first round in each of the past four years by the Edmonton Oilers.
Maybe the presence of a Sidney Crosby is the missing piece for the Kings to take the next step.
Marcotte’s comments may disappoint Montreal Canadiens fans, but it’s important to point out here that this is only his opinion and not based on rumors reported by insiders.
