ALEXANDRIA

— The Alexandria boys hockey team finished as one of the best teams in Section 6A, as it made it to the Section 6A Championship game.

Juniors Nik Schultz and Brody Berg were named to the All-Section 6A first team, while sophomores Grady Olson and Grady Suchy and junior Brady Schluter were named to the second team.

Schultz had two goals and 13 assists this season. Berg led the team in goals with 18 and added seven assists.

Olson led the Cardinals in assists with 22 and in total points with 32. Suchy had two goals and five assists this season.

Schluter had a 10-10 record in net this season. He made 512 saves, had a 2.71 goals-against average, and a .903 save percentage.

Olson, Berg, and Schultz were named to the All-Central Lakes Conference team, while Suchy, Jacob Nicholson, and Ehren Anderson were honorable mentions.

Nicholson had 10 goals and eight assists this season, while Anderson had 12 goals and eight assists.

Olson was voted the team’s most valuable player on offense, and Schultz was voted the team’s defensive player of the year. Nicholson was voted the team’s hardest worker.

Schultz was a captain this season, while Charlie Bassen and Evan Klimek were assistant captains.
