The Washington Capitals are adding a new look to their uniform collection for the 2025-26 season.
On Monday, the Capitals unveiled their new alternate uniforms featuring their Screaming Eagle logo. Star winger and captain Alex Ovechkin was among the players featured in the social media photos:
The Capitals announced that the Screaming Eagle jerseys will be worn for 15 home games during the 2025-26 campaign, and the design will remain the team’s third jersey for the next three seasons.
Fans will get to see the new threads on the ice for the first time on Oct. 17 when the Capitals host the Minnesota Wild. That will also be the first day that the jerseys and additional apparel will be available to purchase online and in person.
The Capitals are coming off a first-place finish in the Metropolitan Division and a run to the second round of the playoffs. Ovechkin will certainly be motivated to reach even greater heights as his legendary career continues to wind down.
