The St. Louis Blues signed forward Nathan Walker to a two-year contract extension worth $1.775 million ($887,500 AAV), general manager Doug Armstrong announced on Wednesday.

Walker, 31, skated in a career-high 73 games with the Blues a season ago, where he tallied eight goals and 16 points – both career highs in his eighth season.

Originally drafted by the Washington Capitals in the third round (89th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Walker has spent the last six seasons with St. Louis.

The Cardiff, Wales native has made appearances with the Capitals and Edmonton Oilers in his NHL career.

In 229 career NHL games, Walker has 28 goals and 56 points.
