The Habs are in the running to host the 2028 World Cup, according to Geoff Molson. Obviously nothing is set in stone, but if Molson feels comfortable mentioning it, there are very healthy odds the tournament will take place in Montreal. And let’s be honest, the tournament’s atmosphere in any other rink wouldn’t compare to the Bell Centre.

The Florida Panthers will be without Matthew Tkachuk and Tomas Nosek when the season begins. Both players are out with long-term injuries that required surgery.
