The Detroit Red Wings are beginning training camp today in Traverse City. They play their first game on September 23rd against the Chicago Blackhawks. They announced their training camp roster today, and six players received a camp invite. Two of them are forwards, Liam Kilfoil and Vincent Collard. The four defensemen are Carl-Otto Magnusson, Justice Christensen, Maxim Dirracolo, and Wyatt Kennedy.

Liam Kilfoil
Kilfoil spent last season with the Halifax Mooseheads, where in 62 games he had 46 points on 21 goals and 25 assists. He finished as a -24 with 14 penalty minutes. He also played in 17 games for the U18 Canada team, where he didn’t record a point. Kilfoil finished as a plus-two.
Vincent Collard
Collard played in 64 games for the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL. He recorded 52 points on 25 goals and 27 assists. He was a +15 with 48 penalty minutes.
Carl-Otto Magnusson
Magnusson played in 44 games with the Frolunda HC J20 team. He recorded eight points on three goals and five assists. He was a +16 with 48 penalty minutes. Magnusson also played for Frolunda in the SHL, but he didn’t record a point. Magnusson also played in International-Junior play for Sweden. In seven games, he scored two goals and added an assist. He was a plus-seven with 33 penalty minutes. He will play with the Moncton Wildcats this season.
Justice Christensen
Christensen played in 68 games for the Prince Albert Raiders, where he was also the captain. He recorded 46 points on 22 goals and 24 assists. He was a +19 with 62 penalty minutes. Christensen will play another season in the WHL with the Raiders, then in 2026-27, he will play at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Maxim Dirracolo
Dirracolo played in 65 games with the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL. He recorded 11 points on three goals and eight assists. Dirracolo was a plus-two with 74 penalty minutes. He will play with the Rangers again this season.
Wyatt Kennedy
Kennedy played for two teams in the OHL last season. He spent time with the North Bay Battalion and the Windsor Spitfires. In 65 games between the two, he recorded 20 points on three goals and 17 assists. He was a minus-four with 58 penalty minutes.
