On Friday the Dallas Mavericks announced the signing of free agent D’Moi Hodge ahead of training camp.
Hodge, a 26-year-old guard who stands at 6-4, spent last season with the Greek club Aris Thessaloniki. Hodge began his career as a two-way player for the Lakers where he spent time with Anthony Davis, D’Angelo Russell and Max Christie, who are now his Mavericks teammates.

Hodge appeared in seven games for the Lakers during the 2023-24 season as well as 30 games with the South Bay Lakers and Rip City Remix of the G League.

Hodge had stops at the State College of Florida and Cleveland State at the college level before finishing his five-year collegiate career with Missouri.
Hodge is also the first British Virgin Islander to ever play in the NBA.
With the addition of Hodge as well as Thursday’s signing of point guard Dennis Smith Jr., the Mavericks have brought in more guard depth prior to the start of training camp.
