Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 24 shots as the San Jose Sharks beat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 on Sunday in the preseason.
Veteran free agent signings John Klingberg, Jeff Skinner, and Tyler Toffoli scored for the Sharks. Top prospect Sam Dickinson had two assists, and Michael Misa had one assist.
“[They] did some good things. Misa, I loved the face-off at the end of the game. I think that’s competitive. That’s a hockey play right there. That’s a guy who wants to win,” Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said. “Sam played a really solid game. [He] was trying to be more in control. Again, another guy makes the play off, the face-off.”
“I can tell you right now, this organization there’s some bright days ahead. Some really good young players coming.”

Dickinson was paired with Vincent Desharnais and showed well. His speed fit the NHL much better this preseason compared to the 24-25 preseason. The San Jose Sharks’ 2024 11th-overall pick finished the game with 18:15 minutes of ice time.
“Just understanding how the games work. I was lucky enough to play in two last year. Taking the little things you learn from every game and keeping them in the back of your mind. [A] mental notes, kind of thing,” Dickinson said.
Misa centered a line with Quentin Musty and Tyler Toffoli. The pace of an NHL game was not an issue for the No. 2 pick in the NHL Draft. He was constantly in the proper position and created multiple opportunities. Misa finished with 17:40 minutes of ice time.
“It was a cool experience. A lot of fun out there. It was nice [that] we got the win as well,” Misa said postgame. “I felt good. As the game went on, I got more comfortable. It’s just going to have to be something I have to get used to. That was the first preseason game, and I felt good out there.”

Klingberg gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead with a power play goal at 7:17 of the second period. Tyler Toffoli banked a pass off the left boards to Klingberg, who walked the blue line and beat Lindblom over the blocker.
Skinner gave the Sharks a 2-0 lead with 45 seconds left. Sam Dickinson took a spinning pass from Will Smith on the left wing and then slid the puck across to Skinner for the backdoor tap-in.
Toffoli iced the game with an empty net goal at 19:16 of the third period after Dickinson flipped the puck out of the zone.
