Utah Mammoth center Barrett Hayton (undisclosed) is out day-to-day, head coach Andre Tourigny announced Monday. Hayton didn’t participate in either contest when Utah opened its preseason schedule with split squad games against the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday. The day-to-day status indicates that he is not dealing with a serious issue. Hayton had a strong campaign last term and will continue to work as Utah’s second-line center this season. In 2024-25, Hayton managed career-high numbers in all the major offensive categories, posting 20 goals and 26 assists for 46 points in 82 games.–Taavi Pailk
