No score at the end of the Period. 0-0.

The Canes killed off the Caps Power Play to begin the 2nd Period, but then history repeated itself.

A neutral zone turnover by the Canes led directly to a Connor McMichael unassisted goal 2:16 into the period. A play that looked very similar to Washington’s first score in Game 1. 1-1 Caps.

With 8:15 left in the Period, Dubois was called for his second penalty, which was tripping against Jackson Blake, putting the Canes back on the Power Play.

The Caps head into the 3rd Period with the lead.
