The Edmonton Oilers have signed Vasily Podkolzin to a three-year extension, the team announced Tuesday.

Podkolzin, 24, will earn $2.95 million per season.

Podkolzin appeared in all 82 games for the Oilers last season, scoring eight goals and adding 16 assists. He had three goals and seven helpers in 22 playoff contests as the Oilers reached a second-consecutive Stanley Cup Final.

A native of Moscow, Podkolzin was originally taken with the 10th overall selection of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks and made his NHL debut in 2021.

After three seasons with the Canucks, Podkolzin was dealt to the Oilers last August for a fourth-round pick.

In 219 games across four season, Podkolzin has 26 goals and 33 assists.

The Oilers open up their 2025-2026 campaign on Oct. 8 with a visit from the Calgary Flames.
