The Kings picked up a 3-1 win to start the preseason. They got goals from Alex Laferriere, Andre Lee, and Alex Turcotte. Carter George played the whole game, stopping 22 of the 23 shots he faced.

Vegas Golden Knights News & Notes:

The Golden Knights were shut out in their preseason opener by the San Jose Sharks. Carl Lindblom stopped ten of the 11 shots he faced, and Jesper Vikman stopped eight of the nine shots he faced.

Los Angeles Kings

Jeff Malott, in 12 games for the Kings last season, had an assist. He was a minus-one. In 61 games in the AHL with the Ontario Reign, he had 51 points on 23 goals and 28 assists. He was a +17 with five power-play goals and two game-winning goals. Malott finished third on the Reign in points and in goals.

Vegas Golden Knights

Tanner Laczynski played in eight games for Vegas last season, scoring a goal. He finished as a minus-one. 41 games for the Henderson Silver Knights last season and led the team in points with 37, coming on 15 goals and 22 assists. He was even in plus/minus, and had two power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, along with six game-winning goals. He also finished tied for second in goals on Henderson.
