The Vegas Golden Knights play their preseason home opener on Tuesday. They played sloppy hockey on Sunday and are still in search of their first goal of the preseason. They’ll host the Los Angeles Kings at T-Mobile Arena.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 p.m. PST.

The Golden Knights were last in action on Sunday against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center. They iced only a few NHL regulars, and that reflected in their play. They couldn’t generate any offense and fell to the Sharks 3-0 off an Alex Nedeljkovic shutout.

Adin Hill was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate and will get the starting nod for the Golden Knights. According to head coach Bruce Cassidy, Hill will split the net with Akira Schmid.

The Kings have not announced a starting goaltender.

Golden Knights Game Notes

The Golden Knights finished last season with a record of 1-3-0 against the Kings.

Dating back to last year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Golden Knights have not scored a goal in over 187 minutes. Now, they didn’t play any offensive stars in the preseason opener against San Jose on Sunday. Being shutout tonight with the likes of Tomáš Hertl and Noah Hanifin in the lineup would be a different story.

The Golden Knights’ opening night roster is more or less set in stone. However, there are still Training Camp battles. Look for players like Kai Uchacz and Raphaël Lavoie to push for the 13th forward job.

All fans in attendance tonight will receive a free Golden Knights hat.
