Noted 2-time Stanley Cup winner Matt Murray‘s reaction to Maple Leafs teammate Joseph Woll‘s game-preserving highlight reel save was amazing, and thankfully, it was all caught on camera.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are coming off of a crucial and impressive 4-3 victory over the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night, giving themselves a 2-0 series lead.
It was a tightly contested game until the final buzzer, but as they’ve done consistently this season, the Leafs found a way to come out on top in a close one.
One save in particular stood out, prompting a hilarious reaction from veteran goaltender Matt Murray, who served as the backup for the night.

The win was a significant one for Toronto, especially given the uncertainty surrounding the goaltending situation after Stolarz’s injury.
Head coach Craig Berube emphasized the importance of focusing on winning the game rather than retaliating against Panthers forward Sam Bennett, whose controversial elbow led to Stolarz’s exit in Game 1.
Now, the Leafs will head into Florida to try to take Games 3 and 4 in enemy terrain. If they can avoid losing 4 of the next 5 games, they’ll punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals.
While they’ll miss Anthony Stolarz, Woll looks ready to step up and carry the load with confidence, as long as is necessary.
