Elliotte Friedman Predicts Maple Leafs to Make Several Trades Before the End of Training Camp

Jack Roslovic has been linked to the Maple Leafs all summer, and if the team are to get him, Elliotte Friedman has predicted several trades.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have had a very busy summer, and after parting ways with long-time star Mitch Marner, the team have brought in several names hoping to replicate his production of 2024/25.

However, that’s now given them a logjam on their roster, specifically up front as they now have more than enough middle-six forwards to put together a lineup, with many expecting them to move out a piece or two.

Toronto to make room for Jack Roslovic?

Now, Elliotte Friedman has addressed the Maple Leafs situation on the Donnie and Dahli Show, revealing that multiple trades are likely on the way for Toronto as they look to clear space, specifically to make room for veteran forward Jack Roslovic.

Definitely Toronto’s been one of the teams; but Toronto’s got a lot of forwards, they’re going to have to move some guys out

Last season, Roslovic was underutilized in Carolina, but still performed well for the team, posting 22 goals and 39 points, the highest total of his career since the 45 points in 2021/22 with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

With Auston Matthews and John Tavares up front, the Maple Leafs don’t need Roslovic to be a star, meaning they could see him as their 3C moving forward, so it makes sense why the team could look to make several moves in order to bring him in.

Ultimately, Toronto need to make some moves regardless, as they have a major surplus of NHL forwards currently on their roster, and if Friedman is right, we should expect some trades in the very near future.
